Of Pokemons, Rio Olympics, and No Sedation

How are you and your fur babies?

They say that the gloomy weather affects your mood but not us Filipinos!  We have 3 perfectly good reasons to smile this rainy season 🙂

First, the rainy season has officially started just as our country celebrates our silver medal win in the Rio Olympics, courtesy of  our very own weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz.

Second, dark skies and rain couldn’t dampen the “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” spirit of some pet owners, who are into the Pokemon game 🙂  Which brings us to the question:  Can your pets see Pokemons? 🙂

Third, rain means no classes and no work for many Pet Owners and more cuddle time with your pets 🙂  Enjoy longer cuddle time with your pet by ensuring that they are clean and well groomed.

However, is the mere thought of giving your pet a quick bath stressful for both you and your pet?

Is the thought of groomers sedating your hyperactive pet scares you?

It shouldn’t be the case…

2 Ways To Make Bathing and Grooming Stress-Free For You And Your Pet

1

First Stress-Free Advice:  If you prefer to bathe your pet personally, this advice is perfect for you. Condition your pet.  Before you even give him or her a bath, condition him or her to associate bath time with good things.

Have their favorite toys around.  Give extra treats.  Reward her for coming with you inside the bathroom.  The next time around, reward your fur baby for getting into the tub… Do these and be patient with your pet!

Second Stress-Free Advice:  If you have a hyperactive pet, it is best that you let a professional groomer help you.  Go online and check for feedback and reviews on the pet salons near you.  Other pet owners prefer to have their pet groomed in a pet hospital which has complete facilities and can handle emergencies.

A word of CAUTION:  To keep your fur baby safe, check if your groomer follows the No Sedation rule during grooming.

There you have it, 2 ways towards stress-free grooming and bathing for you and your pet.

Choose which advice works best for you.  Whatever is your choice, please …

  • Make it enjoyable for the pet
  • Make it stress-free for you

… So you will both enjoy the next bathing and grooming session relaxed and sedation free!
